Flying without an Airplane

Day 16
Tough one for me. I'm not a big "God has a plan for you" type of person.
I am more of a "pay attention to what makes you tick, and go do that, and create the life you desire." type of person.

One feels like more proactive than the other. And who doesn't love being proactive? Us overachievers that are accomplishment driven and thrive on making a plan, carrying it out and feeling the pride of a job well done.. you know, us... the dream it -plan it- do it folks......

What we are to explore today in this lesson is the concept that the universe indeed has a plan for us. That life is sacred, and if we follow the path, we will find utopia. We will serve our own souls happiness and contribute to others also. What we do matters, what we say matters, we have a gift that needs to be enjoyed and shared.

By being aware, and awake, and following direction, we will follow the path without confusion. We are to follow the signs, inner (intuition) and outer (events that happen that seem like eerie coincidences) and when we trust the universe, we surrender ourselves and... Ta-da we are following the yellow brick road to happiness.

Ok, I know, sure that all sounds so simple, doesn't it.

Yesterday I found myself sitting high a top of a strangers feet with my arms stretched out wide in my living room. Like I've mentioned, I'm in a small town where I don't know anyone. Yoga Teacher is an hour away, and the stairclimber in the garage is only exciting for so long. A year ago, Lifepartner and I signed up for an aerial/acro yoga class in the mountains, but due to some circumstance were unable to attend. Yoga Teacher wanted to have us for dinner after the class to meet the instructor, but again an opportunity we missed out on.

Enter my new small town boredom. I emailed the acro guy, asking if he is doing any acro workshops soon as we missed his last year, or if he was able to come over and do a private session with us. Of course he could!
This brings us to the most amazing 3 hours of being "flown" across the living room. Lifepartner and I took turns being the base and the flyer, being lifted, bent backwards, stood on end, spun around, doing cartwheels and laughing hysterically as lifepartner became a pancake under me.

The moral of the story is to see the opportunity in every moment to live an adventure. We both love yoga, (and flying) especially anything out of the box, we both have trust in each others balance, strength and athleticism.
Will this lead to me running acro yoga workshops? Will this lead to our becoming circus performers?
Who knows. Perhaps it will be nothing more than a fun afternoon in the living room with an enlightened joyful soul.
And that right there-  is the "following the yellow brick road."
The "path to enlightenment",
The "following God's plan"

It's living life to it's fullest, having experiences that are enriching, stepping out of our comfort zone, creating, planning, doing anything that makes us tick, brings us joy, and wakes us up.......because that's the whole meaning of life right there.

To live it.
